It happens.
The stress, the workload, the back and forth for daily bread, transportation and random things that you couldn’t care less about.
These insignificant thoughts in turn, become overwhelming and take up your energy, time, strength and peace of mind. You are then left wondering, how do I fix this? What should I do? Why me all the time? How hard can it be?
It could get easy henceforth if you read this to the end. But you have to know that you are not alone, you are in fact someone’s source of strength, so no matter how much you want to zone out, always remember “I matter to you.”
#. LET IT GO:
It could get overwhelming that you forget what the original thing was. The best way to ease your mind is to let go of whatever it is that might be burdensome. Taking a deep breath and letting it go can be hard, sometimes you could get flashbacks, and other times, you are dreaming about it.
But, take a deep breath and try to imagine the good times, channel your thoughts to something different. Surround yourself with things that can occupy your mind positively, by doing that, you are letting it go.
#. VISIT YOUR FAVORITE SPOT:
Do you have a favorite place you go to when things get muddy? If things get overwhelming for you, how do you deal with it? Nothing beats having a place you can go to clear your thoughts.
That place for me is the beach; the way the wind compliments the sea and eases my mind is therapeutic. The only sound that plays in your head is the waves crawling gently and sometimes violently against the shores. The sand beneath my feet dissolves so fast when the cold water hits my feet, and that sends cold shivers through my body, relaxing my nerves.
At that time, nothing runs through my mind. Nothing.

#. TAKE A COLD SHOWER:
Have you tried taking a cold shower when you are swamped? The constant drops of water beating on your back, with you just standing under the shower. That automatically calms your nerves and eases the tension.
Cold showers can work as a kind of gentle electroshock therapy. The cold water sends many electrical impulses to your brain and as a result of that, jolt your system to increase alertness, clarity, and energy levels. This causes the release of endorphins, which are sometimes called happiness hormones.
#. SLEEP:
One of the best things I recommend that you do when things get all messy is to sleep. You can never go wrong with sleep. By sleeping, you are letting go of every negative thought, emotion, and feelings that might be stressing you.
When you fall asleep, your sympathetic nervous system {which controls your fight or flight response} gets a chance to relax. That way, a lot of stress that you feel can be eased, making you relaxed.
#. TAKE A WALK/ LISTEN TO MUSIC:
Listening to slow calming kinds of music is another way to ease your mind. Music has a way of calming your soul and re-directing your mood. Music has a way of easing your nerves and relaxing your mind.
Taking a walk is also a great way to clear your clouded mind; just a little walk down your estate or street, while the wind takes its toll on you. That also aids ease of mind.
Many a times, you get overwhelmed with so many things and it seems as though everything just gets messed up almost at the the same time.
I just gave you a few solutions to keep you out of that space. What do you think?
I want to start a new series, what are your thoughts?
Love always,
‘ShádéOdebiyi ❤️
